advance equity and inclusion for all.

Key Documents to Share

The OER Policy & Advocacy Statement and its recommendations, released June 25, 2021, encourages district leaders to integrate OER into their American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding strategies, and explains how to get started.

K-12 Voices for Open commits to furthering connections between open education and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) for the benefit of all learners and educators.

Visit and contribute to the Professional Learning Working Group's publicly accessible curated collection of open resources about OER/OEP professional development on OER Commons.

Community Action Plan: K12 Open Education - Public

This Action Plan was developed with input from leaders across states, districts, and organizations to outline community-led strategies to advance open educational practice (OEP) and OER implementations across settings.

Committees & Working Groups

Builds and implements governance and communication structures for the community, and works to elevate and disseminate the solutions developed in the working groups.

Develops resources and strategies to support all educators in utilizing and adapting OER to meet the requirements of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Develops resources and strategies to support all educators in finding and adapting high quality OER in line with quality rubrics and DEI-centric frameworks.

Advocates for OER and develops resources and strategies to support the development, approval, and implementation of K-12 Open Education policy.

We are a group of K-12 education champions and community members across stakeholder groups, including leaders, practitioners, researchers, families, students, and others, focused on increasing access and equity in education.
